An Inspiration to Millions!

Joel Osteen (March 5, 1963) is the son of John Osteen, a highly respected minister of the Gospel attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he studied radio & television communications. He’s an American author, televangelist & the senior pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. John Osteen encouraged his son to preach, but he always declined preferring to work behind the scenes. In early 1999, Joel felt forced to accept his father’s invitation and he preached his very first sermon on 17 January 1999. Little did anyone know that would be the last Sunday of John Osteen’s life. 2 weeks later, Joel began preaching and later that year was assigned as the new Senior Pastor of Lakewood Church which is America’s largest & fastest growing church today. On 16th July 2005 after completing 95 million dollars in renovations, he moved Lakewood Church to its new 16000 seat home-the former Compaq Center. Each week he delivers God’s message of hope & encouragement to more than 40000 attendees. According to Nielsen Media Research, Joel is the most watched inspirational figure in America. A New Vision For The New Millenium

Almost immediately weekly attendance began to grow at an extraordinary rate. In 2005, Joel moved Lakewood Church to its present location, the former Compaq Center, a 16000 seated arena that was once home to the Houston Rockets professional basketball team. With his wife Victoria, and the leadership staff of Lakewood this innovative church is poised for the new millennium. Joel’s extraordinary success can be found in his core message: That our God is a good God who desires to bless those who are obedient and faithful to him through Jesus Christ. It is Joel’s deepest desire that his own life be an example of that principle and that everyone who hears this message of hope & encouragement would choose to accept God’s goodness and mercy and to become all that God wants them to be.

Joel Osteen Sermons

“When God created us, He blessed us with a great Blessing, and wanted us to live a successful and victorious life. Yet, many people are still living below what God had originally intended.” These sermons by Pastor Joel Osteen help us understand that God truly wants to prosper us both physically and spiritually. No matter what is happening in our lives right now, God is able to turn it around to bless us and work the situation to our advantage. Because of the finished work of Jesus, there is now nothing that stands between us, and God’s unreserved blessings. With our sins cleansed by the Blood of Jesus, we can now stand righteous in the Presence of our Father, and receive His abundant blessings without any inhibitions.
